It has been a contrasting season for Allan and Martin, which concluded with the World Championship qualifiers in Sheffield this week.
Martin came through a tough opening match against amateur Kodesh Johal in the first round, holding his nerve to record a 10-8 win after being 8-7 down. The win means Martin will start next season at number 66 in the rankings, which represents excellent progress.
Despite playing some of his best snooker of the season, Allan succumbed 10-6 to Xiao Guodong in a high quality match.
After a good start it has been a frustrating season for Allan, but he looked back to somewhere near his best in Sheffield.
It is surely only a matter of time before results start to reflect his undoubted ability.
The boys will already be turning their attention to next season, which starts with a series of qualifiers in Preston at the end of May.
In the meantime Martin will be attending the Ethan Rees Linwood Junior Tournament on 8th May to see how our academy regulars are progressing!
