Thaxted Cub Scouts
Learning By Doing

The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for some 400,000 young people across the UK.

We promote physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being, helping youngsters to develop their full potential. As part of this Scouting family, the 1st Thaxted Cub Scouts offers boys and girls aged 8-10 a range of diverse pursuits. We believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

Cub Scouts get the chance to try lots of different activities like badge-work, craft-work and games and get to go on trips and days out. Best of all, we absolutely love camping! That means sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities like walking, fire lighting and outdoor cooking.

If you are interested in joining the Thaxted Cub Scouts or just want to know more, e-mail us. The Thaxted Scout group includes Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and therefore caters for boys and girls aged 6-18. And it's fun for parents too!
