Formed in 1878, the Thaxted Cricket Club is situated on the picture-perfect lawns of Bardfield End Green.

Surrounded by country houses & fields, the playing and spectating area could not be more English - a perfect place to while away a sunny weekend.

The club consists of 2 adult sides: the Saturday side play league cricket in the Herts + Essex League division 4.  The Sunday side plays friendlies throughout the season against other local teams.

We also have a thriving youth section, starting from Kwik Cricket (Under 8's) up to Under 15's, all teams are trained by qualified coaches.

The club boasts a pavillion with bar facilities. Both this and the grounds can be hired by companies and other clubs for the arrangement of their own matches.

Aside from serious sport, we also have an active social side.

We host an annual charity day, supporting both national and local charities, which has become a popular fixture in the Thaxted social calendar!
