Thaxted Baptist Church invites you to experience a remarkable one man drama on Friday, March 31st - TAKEN by Lloyd Notice, which re-enacts the gospel of Mark with humour and raw emotion.

The direct words of Mark’s gospel come to life through Lloyd’s formidable acting and the lighting, music and sound effects. And the drama unfolds in a powerful contemporary setting as he performs the part of a prisoner - TAKEN as a hostage.

Inspired by Terry Waite’s book Taken on Trust, the production portrays its story through the experience of a someone held hostage for his faith, fighting for his sanity, and poses the question - what do you do to prevent your mind being TAKEN?

Lloyd trained as a Shakespearian actor and has performed regularly in the West End in productions including Romeo And Juliet, As You Like It and The Lion King. He has also appeared on television in, among other things, The Bill and Casualty.

TAKEN is a versatile show that brings Lloyd’s power and presence to bear through two 50 minute acts. It has elicited standing ovations from audiences in theatres, churches and open-air venues across the UK.

TAKEN is being performed at Thaxted Baptist Church on Friday, March 31st at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm).
