Following the decision to withdraw from the Eastern Counties League in 2011, footballing activities at Saffron Walden Town has focused on the SWTFC Youth Teams. Youth activities are central to the future of the Club and every Saturday the regular Soccer School provides coaching for around 150 children.

The Saffron Snooker Junior Club was set up in 2010 with the simple aim of getting young people to try the game of snooker. Due to ongoing success, the Junior Club has flourished and evolved to provide a mixture of technical coaching, friendly matches and an internal league.

Welcome to the DMC Leisure Saffron Walden & District Snooker League. As at the 2013/14 Season, there are 14 teams competing, represented by 10 different clubs comprising of approximately 150 players, from Sawston and Bishop's Stortford to Gt Dunmow and Saffron Walden.

Founded in 1965, Thaxted Bowling Club is open to men and women, young and old, able and disabled. Recently refurbished, this private members club provides a high-class venue where everyone can enjoy the game of bowls whilst making and maintaining friendships along the way.
