Local sight loss charity, Support 4 Sight, has been shortlisted for a Lloyds Bank Community Fund award in 2013!

The Saffron Walden charity has a chance to be awarded a £3,000 grant from Lloyds Bank, which will enable them to continue and develop their fantastic work in the local community.

Support 4 Sight helps hundreds of local people each year to cope with their sight loss. This includes loans of useful low vision equipment, counselling services, rehabilitation and emotional support to those devastated by their diagnosis of registered blindness or visual impairment.

An award of £3000 would help Support 4 Sight to continue to offer home visits to approximately 300 newly blinded people in Uttlesford over the next year and YOUR vote could make all the difference!

“The Lloyds Bank Community Fund will make a huge difference to Support 4 Sight by enabling us to help people losing their vision” says Paul Atkins, Resource Centre Manager at Support 4 Sight. “Our charity’s home-visiting service is a real life-line and makes an enormous difference to the lives of hundreds of people in Saffron Walden and Uttlesford.  Please vote for Support 4 Sight to benefit from the Community Fund award.”

The Lloyds Bank Community Fund is helping local people across England and Wales to have a positive impact at the hearts of their communities by giving grants to over 1,300 local good causes in villages, towns and cities across England and Wales. There are four local good causes in each community and each will receive an award: 2 will receive £3,000 each, with the other 2 receiving awards of £300 each.

Loss of sight presents a huge challenge in our visual modern world and Support 4 Sight do absolutely tremendous work in our region, helping people with sight loss to become independent and cope with life without clear vision.
