Saffron Screen’s music film season continues on Sunday, October 13th with a screening of legendary concert documentary Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day.

Local music school The Livewire Rock Academy, which teaches kids and adults practical music skills, will be performing a 30 minute set before the film to set the mood.

The film of Led Zeppelin’s 2007 concert at the O2 is a celebration of rock ‘n’ roll at its most magical and magnificent.

Founder members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John

Bonham, to play 16 songs from their incredible back catalogue.

20 million people applied for tickets but only 18,000 lucky fans got to bear witness to this monumental event!

Saffron Screen’s Business Manager, Rebecca del Tufo explains “the performance from the Livewire Rock Academy is an exciting addition to our programme for October. The set will be the perfect warm up for the film which has gained critical acclaim”.

Andy Wilson, Director of the Livewire Rock Academy agrees: “Live concerts are a constant feature of the school and a way of honing the live experience for our pupils. We are really looking forward to playing some classic rock songs which will be a fitting introduction to the excellent Led Zeppelin movie”.

Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day will be screened at Saffron Screen on Sunday 13th October at 8pm, with the Livewire Rock Academy set starting at 7.30pm.
