Modern World
Live Tate Experience At Saffron Screen

As a late addition to the current programme, modern art gallery Tate Modern will broadcast live into Saffron Screen on June 7th at 11am with an exclusive tour of the Henry Matisse exhibition "The Cut Outs".

The one-off screening will give audiences the opportunity to enjoy an intimate, behind the scenes tour of the blockbuster exhibition with Tate Director and Curator Nicholas Serota and broadcaster Francine Stock and watch interviews with experts, friends of the artist and rare archive footage of Matisse at work.

A giant of modern art, this landmark show explores the final chapter in Matisse’s career as he began "carving into colour" & his series of

spectacular cut-outs was born. A must see for modern art lovers and students of art!

Saffron Screen’s Business Manager Rebecca del Tufo said: “Live and recorded special events have proven very popular with Saffron Screen audiences in recent years and adding a prestigious art exhibition is a natural progression for us. This is an exciting opportunity to see a joyous exhibition which has received rave reviews!"
