Christmas Tree Festival
At Thaxted Parish Church

Following the success of the two Christmas Tree festivals in 2014 and 2015 Thaxted Parish Church will be holding its third Christmas Tree Festival over the weekend of  Friday, Saturday and Sunday 16, 17 & 18 December 2016.

This year the Festival is being held to raise much needed funds for the Church as it begins a massive fundraising effort to help maintain this magnificent 14th century Grade 1 listed building. And plans will include installation of kitchen and toilet facilities to enable better accommodation of members of the wider community of Thaxted at the many Church events that take place each year.

There will be over 30 trees decorated by shops, businesses, groups and organisations in Thaxted including the Thaxted Guides, Parrishes Wine Bar, Thaxted Parish Council, Thaxted Pharmacy, the Bowls Club, Cricket Club, Jenny Jones Dance and Thaxted Day Centre to name but a few.

In many cases the decorations on the trees will reflect the work or nature of the group sponsoring that particular tree.

Everyone is very welcome to come along and enjoy a variety of Christmas trees in the lovely setting of Thaxted’s Parish Church. Refreshments will be available and there will also be a raffle and a stall selling Christmas decorations and last-minute presents.

The Festival will be open from 10am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday (please note there will be a wedding on Saturday between 12pm – 1pm) and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday.

There is a small entrance fee of £2 for an adult with free entry for children.
