Try Walking Hockey
Free Taster Sessions At Braintree Club

Looking to try something new at a steady, something that will help your fitness and get you and your friends out of the house? Then why not try Walking Hockey?

Braintree Hockey Club are offering a FREE six week trial course starting on May 18 - a perfect opportunity to give it a go!

Walking Hockey has been launched by Bromsgrove HC in the Midlands and has now caught the imagination of this country and abroad with Australia Hockey and New Zealand Hockey requesting help to set up the sport there.

The format is aimed at people who, for whatever reason, cannot (or do not want to) play too strenuous a sport.

It is perfect for people who have an injury that prevents them playing to full capacity, who are looking for a gentle activity to recover from injury, who are no longer able to play hockey due to age, or just want to try something new.

There are 6 1-hour sessions planned at Braintree Hockey Club, starting on May 18th at 6pm then every subsequent Thursday. Thanks to help from Active Braintree District Network, these sessions are completely free!

Anyone is welcome and there is no experience required, just the desire to have a go and enjoy yourself.
