Christmas Tree Festival
At Thaxted Parish Church

Following the success of our last three Christmas Tree festivals in 2014, 2015 and Thaxted Parish Church will be holding its third Christmas Tree Festival over the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday 15, 16 & 17 December 2017.

This year the Festival is being held to raise much needed funds for the Church to help maintain the magnificent 14th century Grade 1 listed building and provide kitchen and toilet facilities to enable the welcome of the wider community of Thaxted.

There will be over 30 trees decorated by shops, businesses, groups and organisations in Thaxted including the Thaxted Guides, Thaxted Brownies, Thaxted Parish Council, Jenny Jones Dance, the Thaxted branch of the Royal British Legion and Thaxted Day Centre to name but a few.

In many cases the decorations on the trees will reflect the work or nature of the group sponsoring that particular tree and the themes are often delightfully unexpected and inspired!

Everyone is very welcome to along and enjoy a variety of Christmas trees in the lovely setting of Thaxted’s Parish Church. Refreshments will be available and there will also be a raffle and a stall selling Christmas decorations and last minute presents.

The Festival will be open from 10am - 4.pm on Friday and Saturday and 11.30 am - 4pm on Sunday. There is a small entrance fee of £2 for an adult with free entry for children.
