Uttlesford District Council runs a grant scheme to support local community groups. Leisure & Cultural grants and Sports Project grants are available to help pay for things such as training and equipment.

Talented individuals, non-profit-making organisations and local charities providing services to or for the community, or for the purpose of assisting the arts and cultural clubs, are eligible to apply for the Leisure & Cultural grant. Local branches of national organisations can also apply.

The Sports Project grant is designed for sporting organisations and talented individuals who want to develop further by purchasing new equipment, undertaking training or delivering courses in the local community. Again, local branches of national organisations are eligible to apply.

Applications for both grants schemes are considered on a monthly basis and can be no larger than £500. Applicants must have match-funded the grant.
