Joining Forces
Carver Barracks Open Day

Uttlesford civvies came out in force on Saturday, July 26th, to show their support for 33 and 101 Engineer Regiment at the Carver Barracks Open Day 2014.

From vehicles to robots to the fantastic air display, there was loads to see and do during this super family day out.

Great fun was had by all, with lots of local kids attacking the search and assault courses and showing the Carver Barracks soldiers how it's really done!

The climbing wall proved a popular challenge for for those with a good head for heights and, unfortunately for anyone wearing a uniform, the Soak A Soldier area came under heavy fire - with wet sponges and some cheeky public bravado!

The Open Day presented a fascinating insight into the work of our locally-based armed forces and the community spirit so prevalent in our region.
