Major (Retd) David Helme

The sad death of Major (Retd) David Helme, aged 93 years, occurred on Sunday 31st August 2014 at home in Thaxted. David saw extensive service in some of the toughest theatres of the Second World War before returning to civilian life, living at Broxted and then Thaxted in his later years.
