It's Christmas everyone - time to ease back and relax a little! And the fantastic people at Vrve in Thaxted have made it ludicrously easy for us to decide on our lead festive article this year by producing a veritable Christmas cracker of a movie for your delight, jam-packed with talent and humour!

Runners in red spread some festive cheer through the streets of Harlow for St Clare Hospice’s annual Santa Run. About 160 people of all ages donned Santa’s famous red suit, hat and beard for the 4km Christmas event, which started and finished at Harlow Leisurezone.

This Christmas, Saffron Screen have hung up their stocking and packed it full of films and festive fun for all the family. With special visits from Santa Claus himself, Christmas classics Elf and It’s a Wonderful Life will kick off a holiday programme positively bursting with seasonal treats.

They've only gone and done it! St Clare Hospice has won an amazing £50,000 grant from the People's Millions. And the significant sum is already ear-marked for a fantastic Space to Breathe communal garden project to improve in-patient experience!

December the 8th - another fantastic opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit while supporting a worthy local cause. Thaxted's Windmill Pre-School Christmas Bazaar, at Bolford St Hall, includes a multitude of attractions for adults and kids alike. Entry is just 50p for adults and completely free for kids!
